Getting Started - New Blog and Hopeful
I read in a marketing column that having a blog is an important addition to having an e-commerce site as a way to write about what I am working on, and to give information about how or what I am doing. So here goes.....
While I've had a travel blog in the past, this blog is indeed a new endeavor for me. Am I ready? I guess we will find out.
My work in jewelry making has branched out from beading and working with components to creating my own designs with metals. Taking classes in metal working at the Art Academy in San Francisco, Baubles and Beads in Berkeley, CA and more recently at The Crucible in Oakland, CA has expanded my understanding and practice in creating with copper, brass and silver. While I don't feel expert at this yet, I am continuing to work in this medium to hone skills and become even more creative in my designs. I've also been setting up my own studio workshop to include tools that are necessary to work with metals. This has been a great deal of fun - searching for the right tools, and learning about what tools I need to create certain aspects of the design that I am after.
Next time, I'll write more about my work in photography that has always been of interest.
So - stay tuned.
